Join the Fairfield, FAUNA and Fields 'Five Hundred Club' and Make a Difference!

Not everyone will be able to donate a substantial sum to the FAUNA and Fields campaigns.

You can donate a smaller sum direct, of course. But there is also a group alternative:

Join together with family and/or friends to raise £500 (or more!) for the cause.

You can collect donations from your group, join together to raise money through sponsorship, garage/car boot sales or use a combination of these and other methods. It is your group, so any way you want to raise money is fine – as long as it’s legal!

We will publish a list of Five Hundred Club groups here, along with any personal details, photos and illustrations you want to supply, and a link to your JustGiving page (see below).

How do I set up our Fairfield, FAUNA and Fields Five Hundred Club group?
To get your group's presence established, simply email fivehundredclubs AT fairfieldassociation DOT org with:
(a) the name of your group (feel free to make up a fun name!)
(b) the name of your group leader
(c) the names of the other people in your group
(d) any other information and/or photos/illustrations you want to accompany your entry, and
(e) the address, telephone number and email address of your group leader

N.B. The details under (b), (c) and (e) will only be published on the site if you say you are happy for us to do so.
After you have registered, set up a JustGiving page for your club and email the link to fivehundredclubs AT fairfieldassociation DOT org so that it can be linked to your entry on the Five Hundred Club List. You can also print off the sponsorship form and use it to collect sponsorship pledges for your activity.
When do we have to have raised our Fairfield Five Hundred Club group’s money by?
Preferably by 1st October 2010, or whenever the Fields auction finally takes place. But we are more than happy to continue to accept donations forever! NB: The latest information we have (as of 7th August 2010) is that the auction may not now take place until Spring 2011, so we hopefully can go on raising money through autumn and winter 2010-11.
How do we donate our Fairfield Five Hundred Club group’s money when we have raised it?
1. If you are not sure what to do, email fieldsfund AT fairfieldassociation DOT org for help.
2. Cheques (our preferred option) should be made payable to the Fairfield Association. If you are a taxpayer, it is important that you fill in a Gift Aid form and give it to us, so that we can get gift aid from HMRC on your donation.
3. Alternatively, use the DONATE NOW link on the website and email fieldsfund AT fairfieldassociation DOT org to say you have done this, indicating both the amount donated and whether you have made the donation using the JustGiving website. We prefer cheques from Five Hundred Club members as we have to pay a small percentage fee to the JustGiving website.
How will our efforts be recognised?
  • We will put up a page on the Fairfield Association website, showing the donations of the various Fairfield Five Hundred Club groups (unless you prefer your group to remain anonymous, of course)
  • We will be giving prizes too (when we work out what prizes to give, and what to give them for – watch this space!)
  • To see The Current Five Hundred Club List and the JustGiving pages already created, just click on the link above.
  • Using the JustGiving Website
If you want your sponsors to use the JustGiving website to donate to your cause, you need to set up a personal page on the JustGiving website.
