FUNDAY 2009 SATURDAY 4th July: 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm
If you enjoy using the Fairfield Play Area, the Orchard and the community events please could you and your friends help out at this year’s Fun Day.
Many people have already volunteered to run stalls for eg, Cakes & Cream Teas, Refreshments, Ice-cream, BBQ, Lucky Dip, Books, Lucky Square, Coconut Shy, Lucky Ducks and Face Painting as well as all the myriad of tasks that enable this much loved community event to take place.
However more volunteers are urgently needed to help it to run smoothly. Please could you and your friends organise and run:
- The Human Fruit Machine
- Ladder & Bean Bag game
- Wiggly Wire & Giant Connect 4
- Penalty Shoot Out
If you wish to know more or to offer help please contact Ruth for the know how, rotas & equipment.
If no volunteers come forward these events will not run this year.
If you cannot run an event but can help for an hour or more on the day please let Ruth know ASAP.
Also needed – musicians, face painters and people to act as ‘circulators’ on the day eg ensuring the stall holders get refreshments.
Donations of books, cakes & buns, items for the Silent Auction (eg meal, cinema or theatre tickets, hair cuts, massage, etc) and Raffle (not alcohol) much appreciated.
Do you have an awning/tent/gazebo that you could loan for the day? Please could you help set up on the Green from 9am?
